Maserati Updates Standard Engine For New Grecale
New Maserati Grecale Engine Specs and Information
There is no doubting the popularity of the Maserati Grecale platform. Since it arrived at the Maserati of Toronto showroom, it has offered a pair of engine options, a turbocharged four-cylinder and a twin-turbocharged V-6. When the 2026 model year officially kicks off in the world of Maserati, our manufacturing partner is doing away with the four-cylinder engine, making the twin-turbocharged V-6 standard across the SUV’s trim ladder. While all Grecale models will use the same engine, there are still some performance differences for potential buyers to understand. Follow along with us while we show you what to expect when the 2026 Grecale family is available for sale or lease.

2026 Maserati Grecale Performance Specs
Maserati vehicles stand out from the competition for their combination of high-performance scores and ultra-refined interior features. Our manufacturing partner didn’t need to go far to find the perfect new engine platform to update the SUV’s performance. Maserati took the same engine from the MC20 supercar and adapted the tuning profile to make it more appropriate for the Grecale class.
Grecale Modena SUVs with the new engine will make 386 horsepower, and buyers choosing the 2026 Trofeo trim can expect to see 523 horsepower. Early independent estimates place the zero-to-96 km/h time for the new engine architecture in the sub-four-second range.
Additionally, the electric Folgore also gets a performance boost for the new model year.
How Much More Power Will the 2026 Grecale Make Versus the 2025 Model?
Previous versions of the Grecale were no slouch in the performance department. People choosing earlier iterations were still able to take advantage of 296 and 395 horsepower from the outgoing turbocharged 2.0-litre four-cylinder engines.
